I may not make it to the RPG club meeting tonight, but I will be running afterward.  I trust you can all find your way to Grim without me.

Sorry I won't be there tonight.
Let me know if anything [relatively] totally awesome happens.

Like how the Rogue and the Avatar of Good are missing because they're off duking it out in the Astral Plane. <.< ... >.>
It's like Cegorach (i.e. the Laughing God) versus Slaanesh (respectively)...  The Rogue can't win, but he's damn hard to pin down and destroy...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we won't be running this week.  I'm sure it could be managed, but since both DMs will be out of town, it might be a little difficult.  Fear not, for we'll ran as usual next week!

I finally found (one of) the top ten [A]DnD lists pages... http://www.geocities.com/rowenaknill/jokes/ADnD10.html

Everyone should take note of the "Top Ten Signs You Can No Longer Trust The Thief In Your Party."  I operate by these rules (and offer them up to my fellow Rogue-kindred-spirit, Nicole).  10's probable my favorite.

And, yes, Tim, those "Top Ten Signs Your DM is Too Hard" is the reason I've yet to think you're too hard. wink  No, that's not a challenge, merely an observation.
"4.Your 15th level thief just had the snot kicked out of him by an eight year old girl. " ~sounds like Sigil,  grin

And, as a DM, I've always wanted to use... "10.The villagers hire a band of trolls to rid their town of adventurers. "

Indivion:  "I can't believe you didn't see that.  You are supposed to be our lookout."
Elric:  "I missed it."
Leopold:  "It was a huge friggin' bird!"
Elric:  "I didn't notice it."
Leopold:  "My HORSE noticed it!"

I'm actually in this game! as someone who will do cool stuff if anyone want's to read the ode to the dark god who has bought my character's soul here it is!

My eyes have seen the glory of the Dark Lord;
His name inspires terror and fear;
I will smote the good from the land ln his name;
His will shall be done.
Glory! Glory! To the dark one!

I have seen Him smote the unworthy
to him is built an altar bathed in blood
I can read His righteous sentence in the flames
His will shall be done.
Glory! Glory! To the dark one

I have seen his will and his desires;
to crush the good one under heel
Leaving a world with only fear and hate
The dark one’s will shall be done
glory glory to the dark one

He has many worshipers;
You too could serve his grace
those of you who hear is calll answer Him!;
For all the rest shall burn in flames
The dark ones will shall be done
glory glory to the dark one

After the battle is over
Only The faithful shall remain
The world cloaked in shadows
The dark one will rule all
The dark one’s will shall be done
Glory glory to the dark one

His coming will be our eternal damnation
With his power and wisdom He will conquer the land
Enslaving all mortal souls
The dark one’s will shall be done
Glory! Glory! To the dark one.

I pity those "poor bastards" (as I call them) that choose ~some things~ over D&D...

What are the current thoughts (if any) about whether or not and if so, when, the two games might carry over to next semester?

I'm planning on having the Friday campaign carry over.  It will probably still run on Fridays, but I won't say for sure until we all have a chance to look over our schedules.

I am also planning on running this week unless people have strong objections.

By the way, I'm performing a solo tonight in a recital at 7:30 in OP Performance Hall.  You should all come.

You wanted Gabriel's back story so here it is.  As always please excuse any spelling mistakes

         Gabriel was born in the high temple of Tiamat.  His mother is on the council that rules the religion thru out the human world.  Gabriel knows nothing of his father or his father’s family.  His mother would also not speak of her own family so Gabriel’s only family where the people in the temple.  At an early age Gabriel was indoctrinated in his mother’s religion.  At the age of 7 he left his mother’s personal chambers to move into the dormitories with other priests and priestess of training.  However it quickly became apparent that Gabriel was unsuitable for the priesthood.  The was incredible pressure on him to live up to his mother’s name.
   At the age of 10 Gabriel snapped under the tension of being unable to live up to the pressures put upon him.  Refusing to step out of his room he attacked anyone who tried to enter even his own mother.  After 3 days a stranger in black armor walked into the temple and walked directly to Gabriels room.  When Gabriel attacked the man, he just laughed and threw Gabriel across the room.  He then tossed an old and battered sword and Gabriel’s feet and told him to strike if he could.  Gabriel attacked time and time again but was unable to get past the strange man’s defense.  When Gabriel dropped to the ground exsosted the man dragged him before the grand alter and ordered Gabriel to prey for the strength to control his rage.  After years of training Gabriel obeyed automatically.  As he preyed Gabriel felt Tiamat’s power and his rage was calmed.
   The man revealed that he was a Holy Warrior of Tiamat and that the goddess was calling Gabriel to the same path, But it was up to Gabriel to prove he was worthy.  The man was offered a job by the leaders of the Temple to train the temple guards.  Gabriel was placed under him for training, but he was still required to take some of the classes in the temple.  Unfortunately Gabriel was changed by his mental breakdown.   At times he would strike out violently, attacking people for no apparent reason.  Preying at an alter of his goddess allows him to control these  impulses, however the longer he goes with out preying at a temple the harder it gets for him to control them.
   After 7 years of training it was decided that Gabriel had learned all he would be able to learn staying at the temple.  So he was given his plate armor and a masterwork great sword and sent into the world to become stronger thru experience.  For the next three years he traveled from place to place takeing short term jobs with different groups  or cities, but always staying close to temples of Tiamat, ether open ones or hidden ones.  This continued until he was arrested and joined with the party.
